It's As if He's Running From His Problems

He hides behind the malicious white drapes
To keep his jaded tears away from anyone's sight,
And as he peers out his window through the mesh of the curtains,
He sees only the despair clouding the city.

For what seemed like eternity,
He stood there lifeless,
Unable to mutter a single word
While his hushed weeping carried on.

To many others from their view he almost appears ghost-like,
And perhaps in some ways he is,
Forgotten from the world and wanders aimlessly
Silently drowning his surroundings in his melancholy.
